This document discusses the existing relationship among the current crisis of neoliberal capitalism and phenomena such as touristification, gentrification, and climate change; these terms are usually linked to the economic model. Two cities in Baja California Sur, Mexico, are used as examples for this purpose. In the case of touristification, by acting as an instrument of accumulation of the capitalist model; for the case of climate change, as a consequence of the exploitation and depletion of natural resources and the intensive processes of production needed in order to maintain the infinite growth in a finite world.
